About the Role:
A supportive primary school in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in supporting pupils with special educational needs to make a real difference in a vibrant, inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and communication needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions and adapt classroom activities.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence.
  • Support with behaviour management, emotional regulation, and social skills development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience supporting KS2 pupils, ideally within Year 5.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and tailored learning approaches.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
  • Relevant TA or SEN qualifications desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one).
