An inclusive and friendly primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated Reception SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding long-term position supporting a child with additional learning needs, helping them to settle, learn, and thrive in their first year of school.

You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to provide one-to-one support, adapt learning activities, and create a calm, nurturing environment where every milestone is celebrated. Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm are key, along with a genuine passion for early years education.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Understands the EYFS framework and enjoys working with young learners.
  • Can tailor learning approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Brings warmth, positivity, and consistency to their role every day.

In return, you’ll enjoy:

  • A long-term role in a supportive, inclusive school environment.
  • Opportunities for CPD and professional development in SEN and EYFS.
  • A close-knit and collaborative Early Years team.
  • The chance to make a real difference in a child’s first school experience.
