We are looking for a full time Music Production Lecturer to cover sickness at a Leading College Cambridge in the Creative Industries department. As this is sickness cover, there is no contract end date currently.

You must have: 

  • Minimum degree-level qualification in Music
  • Experience with Logic Pro and Pro Tools

Join our dynamic Creative Industries department at our Cambridge campus as a full-time Lecturer in Music Production. We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable educator to cover a period of staff sickness. As this is sickness cover, there is currently no confirmed end date for the contract.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in inspiring and developing the next generation of music producers, sound engineers, and creative professionals. You’ll deliver engaging lessons across a range of music production topics, helping students to strengthen their technical abilities, explore their creativity, and build professional confidence in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching across our Music Production courses, both practical and theoretical.
  • Supporting learners in developing skills in recording, mixing, mastering, and creative sound design.
  • Guiding students in the use of industry-standard software, including Logic Pro and Pro Tools.
  • Assessing student work, providing clear feedback, and supporting progress and achievement.
  • Contributing to course planning, curriculum development, and collaborative departmental projects.
  • Promoting a culture of creativity, innovation, and professionalism within the classroom and studio.

What you’ll need:

  • A minimum of a degree-level qualification in Music or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Logic Pro and Pro Tools.
  • A passion for music technology and contemporary production techniques.
  • Experience teaching or mentoring learners (in education or industry) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with an ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
