POSITION: SEN Learning Support Assistant
PAY: £90–£120 per day

Clarus Education are working with a primary school who are looking to appoint a Special Education Needs Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with complex needs. The Learning Support Assistant role is vital to the school and involves supporting children with a variety of needs including Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP’s). We are particularly interested in speaking to individuals who have a background in Speech and Language, ADHD, SEMH and Autism.
SEND Learning Support Assistants are an important valued member of the teaching team. As well as working directly with the children’s teacher, the LSA is encouraged to use his/her own initiative and skills to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for the children.
About the role: SEN Learning Support Assistant
· Build a good working relationship with the pupil and have a good understanding of the students needs
· Work on a 1:1 basis
· Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
· Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated strategies
· Promote positive behaviour management and emotional well-being
· Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure pupil success
· Safeguard pupils and maintain a nurturing learning environment
· Full-time & Long-Term contract
· Immediate start
· Primary School located in Greenwich, South-East London

· Must have previous experience working on a 1:1 basis within a UK school setting
· Understanding of behaviour management and differentiated learning techniques
