What skills and experience we're looking for
A teacher who is motivated to improve and develop and works well with a team who will participate and take full advantage of our CPD package.
The teacher we are looking for will:
Teaching
· Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work
· Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
· Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
· Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
· Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
· Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
· Have high expectations for behaviour and have strategies that inspire and motivate children to learn and take part of the whole school life
· Take part in further training and development in order to improve own teaching and be a reflective practitioner
· Work as part of a team on curriculum and pupil development in order to secure outcomes
· Communicate effectively with pupils, parents/carers and external agencies
· Have proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school and maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality
· Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school

Qualifications:
· Qualified Teacher status
Experience:
· The Class Teacher should have experience of teaching in a phase within the primary school
Knowledge and Understanding:
The Class Teacher should have knowledge and understanding of:
· the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all children (e.g. classroom organisation and learning strategies);
· statutory Teachers Standards and National Curriculum requirements at the appropriate key stage;
· the monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress;
· the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEN and Child Protection;
· the positive links necessary within school and with all its stakeholders; effective teaching and learning styles.
