Primary SEND Learning Support Assistant

 

The Primary School Governors wish to appoint a LSA to work with children with SEND to support their learning and ongoing personal development. You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with two children (one child in the morning and one child in the afternoon).

 

Reports to: SENCo & Class Teacher                 

Pay: Daily rate £95 - £120 (term time only working)

Hours: 30 hrs per week - a full time post (8:30am – 4:30pm)

Location: Lewisham Primary School

 

We would love to hear from you if you have/are:-

-Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.

-An ability and confidence to function independently as and when required.

-Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.

-The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.

-Experience of providing personal self-care support to pupils will be an advantage. Please note that providing self-care support on occasion is an important expectation of the role.

-Someone who understands challenging behaviour and has high levels of resilience and a positive attitude  

-Committed to further professional development  

 

Desirable:

Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN), particularly children on the Autism Spectrum which includes the age group 3 – 11.
