EHCP Officer (Full-Time, Temporary – 14 Weeks)

Location: Cambridgeshire (Hybrid – mix of on-site and remote work)
Start Date: After October half term
Contract: Temporary, 14 weeks
Hourly Rate: £13.94 – £14.87 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised EHCP Officer to join a leading Further Education College in Cambridgeshire on a temporary 14-week contract.

In this role, you will support young people with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), providing both direct and indirect interventions and guidance to promote their transition, retention, and success within college life.

This is a hybrid position, combining remote work with on-campus responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities- EHCP Officer

  • Support students with EHCPs through tailored interventions and advice.
  • Liaise effectively with families, advocates, and external agencies.
  • Prepare, chair, and complete documentation for Annual EHCP Reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with lecturers, support staff, and local authorities to ensure appropriate support and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all processes are followed in line with policy and legislation.

About You - EHCP Officer

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring both compassion and attention to detail. You’ll be confident managing sensitive information and working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for students.

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade A–C or equivalent).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
