Construction Technician – FE College, Cambridge – ASAP start
Location: Cambridge
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Rate of Pay: £12.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary, Full-time

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Technician to join our team on a temporary basis to cover long-term sick leave. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional to support practical learning in our state-of-the-art workshops and training areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair equipment across all workshops and training areas
  • Prepare and set up tools, equipment, and assessment areas for practical sessions and demonstrations
  • Assist lecturing staff during practical sessions and demonstrations
  • Ensure high standards of Health & Safety during all workshop activities
  • Support the smooth running of construction practical sessions

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable practical skills in a construction-related trade
  • Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in construction
  • Ability to work independently and support teaching staff effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
  • All compliance and qualifications in place (candidates without full compliance cannot be considered)
