SEN and Behaviour Teaching Assistant (Primary)

£95 - £120 per day

A mainstream primary school in Romford is seeking a SEN and Behaviour Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role is suited to individuals with experience in behaviour support and a strong interest in helping children reach their potential.
Responsibilities
· Provide 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs
· Implement strategies to encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
· Support pupils in class, during interventions and in less structured parts of the school day
· Work alongside teachers, parents and professionals to ensure consistent support
· Promote resilience, confidence and positive relationships for pupils
Requirements
· Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly SEMH or challenging behaviour
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
· Resilient, calm and adaptable approach
· Relevant training or willingness to undertake training in behaviour support techniques
