EYFS/KS1 SEND TA – Primary School – Islington

Clarus Education is supporting an Islington primary school in their search for a caring and experienced EYFS/KS1 SEND TA to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the early years and Key Stage 1 classrooms, helping children access an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

What We Offer

• Full-time, long-term role – term-time only
• Pay: £97–£120 per day (dependent on hours worked)
• Location: Easily commutable within Islington
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with SEN in EYFS and KS1 to access learning and develop skills
• Build positive relationships with children, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs
• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
• Deliver tailored interventions to meet specific SEN needs, including autism and/or ADHD
• Organise and run wellbeing and development activities
• Encourage pupils to participate in teacher-led classroom and playground activities
• Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents to ensure progress and engagement

Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children with SEN in EYFS and/or KS1
• Level 3 CACHE (or equivalent) in SEN teaching support
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs or equivalent)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Calm, professional, and able to respond to challenging behaviours effectively
• Team player, flexible, and committed to supporting inclusive education
