KS1 SEND TA – Primary School – Islington

Clarus Education is supporting an Islington primary school in their search for a dedicated and experienced KS1 SEND TA to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom and help children access an inclusive education.

What We Offer

• Full-time, long-term role – term-time only
• Pay: £97–£120 per day (dependent on hours worked)
• Location: Easily commutable within Islington
• Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support pupils to ensure safety and access to learning
• Establish positive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs
• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
• Deliver tailored interventions to meet specific SEN needs
• Organise and run physical and mental wellbeing activities
• Encourage pupils to interact and participate in teacher-led classroom and playground activities
• Communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents

Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children with SEN, including autism and/or ADHD
• Level 3 CACHE or equivalent qualification in SEN teaching support
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills (GCSEs in English, Maths, and Science or equivalent)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work objectively and calmly with children in challenging situations
• Team player with flexibility and professionalism
• Experience delivering SEN-specific interventions and classroom support
