Experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant

The Role
• Deliver booster groups and targeted interventions in phonics, early reading, and number fluency across Year 1 and Year 2.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils—including those with emerging SEN needs—helping them access learning and build confidence.
• Use assessment data to plan next steps; track impact of interventions and share progress with the class teacher and parents.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independent learning through consistent routines and regulation strategies.
• Support classroom set-up, learning resources and smooth transitions throughout the day.
About You
• Experience working with KS1 pupils in a UK primary setting
• Confident delivering phonics and early maths interventions; familiarity with common schemes an advantage.
• Compassionate communicator with resilience, initiative, and excellent organisation.
• Enhanced DBS, two professional references, and UK right to work are essential.
