SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Haringey, North London

What you’ll be doing – SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Supporting a pupil in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 with Autism, ADHD or Speech & Language needs
  • Adapting learning activities so every child can access the curriculum
  • Running tailored interventions that build confidence, communication, and independence
  • Working alongside class teachers and external specialists to track progress and adjust support strategies
  • Providing both in-class help and small-group sessions to boost learning outcomes

About you

  • Experienced in supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting
  • Confident managing behaviour and using positive strategies to engage pupils
  • Flexible, proactive, and creative in finding ways to meet children’s individual needs
  • Strong communicator who can build relationships with staff, pupils, and parents
  • Passionate about inclusion and committed to helping young learners flourish

The role – SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Full-time, term-time only
  • Starting September on a long-term basis
  • £95–£120 per day, paid weekly
