Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant – Tower Hamlets, East London

About the role – SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Full-time, long-term position starting in September
  • Providing 1-to-1 support for a child in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 with SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, emotional difficulties and/or Speech & Language delays
  • Working closely with the SENCo and class teacher to deliver targeted interventions, track progress, and adapt learning strategies
  • Supporting children both in class and through tailored small-group work, building confidence, independence, and academic achievement
  • Opportunities to deliver Speech & Language and communication programmes (training provided)
  • £95–£120 per day, weekly pay, term-time only
  • Based in Tower Hamlets, East London

Who we’re looking for – SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a strong background supporting children with additional needs
  • Proven success working with children with Autism, Speech & Language delays, and/or complex learning needs
  • Confident in behaviour management and adapting strategies to meet a range of learning styles
  • A patient, resilient, reliable and proactive professional with excellent communication skills
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and outside professionals
  • Passionate about inclusion and committed to supporting children to thrive both socially and academically
