Job Title: Year 4 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time, Mornings Only)
Location: Camden
Start Date: ASAP (Immediate trials available)
Hours: 8:45am – 12:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Pay: £13.87 – £14.77 per hour via PAYE (£40–£45 per day for 3 paid hours) + 15-minute unpaid break

About the Role - Year 4 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time, Mornings Only)

We are seeking a confident and proactive 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil on a part-time basis each morning. This role is focused on managing behaviours conducive to learning and helping the pupil engage positively within the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to provide consistent boundaries, maintain eye contact when communicating, and demonstrate confidence in handling challenging behaviours.

Key Responsibilities - Year 4 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time, Mornings Only)

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with additional needs.
• Implement behaviour management strategies that encourage focus and engagement.
• Communicate effectively with the pupil, staff, and parents.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support.
• Maintain a proactive, patient, and nurturing approach.

Requirements - Year 4 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Part-Time, Mornings Only)

• DBS on the update service (essential).
• Experience supporting SEN pupils within a classroom environment (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to set clear and consistent boundaries.
• Proactive, confident, and resilient in approach.
