Salary: £32,455 – £45,260 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a further education provider seeking a PMLD & SLD Lecturer to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Autism.

This is an exciting fixed-term role until July 2026, offering the opportunity to join a committed team delivering high-quality, inclusive education to learners with a diverse range of needs. The successful candidate will work across Foundation Learning programmes, helping to shape meaningful learning experiences for students through a holistic, person-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored teaching to learners with PMLD, SLD, and Autism.
• Design and implement individualised learning programmes.
• Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants and wider support teams.
• Lead and contribute to curriculum development and educational planning.
• Conduct assessments and contribute to EHCP reviews.
• Support enrichment, trips, and community-based learning.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or supporting learners with complex SEN needs.
• Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Relevant degree or professional qualification.
• Knowledge of SEN practices and communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, or Team Teach (desirable).
• Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
