Learning Support Mentor (Part-Time, Further Education) – Science, Engineering and Computing
Cambridge | Part-time (14 hours per week), Term Time Only | £7,986 per annum

We’re seeking a Learning Support Mentor to join the Science, Engineering and Computing team at a leading FE College in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and guide learners as they build confidence, develop skills and achieve their goals.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support, particularly for learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Supporting students with their targets and EHCP outcomes
  • Adapting resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in both academic and practical settings
  • Engaging in training and CPD to continue your own professional growth

About you:

  • Empathetic, patient and adaptable with a passion for supporting learners
  • Able to communicate effectively and build strong, positive relationships
  • Flexible, proactive and motivated to help students thrive

What you’ll need:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
  • Experience working with young people or SEND learners is desirable, but not essential – enthusiasm and commitment are what count most!
