We are looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Head of Construction & Building Services Department (Multi-Skills & Trowel Trades) to play a key leadership role within our client’s expanding college. About the Role - Assistant Head of Construction & Building Services Department

Based across two campuses, you will work closely with the Head of Department to provide leadership, management, and curriculum development across the following disciplines:

• Construction Multi-Skills
• Property Maintenance Operations
• Bricklaying

You will support the delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, while driving continuous improvement in curriculum standards and learner experience. By motivating staff and inspiring students, you will help shape the workforce of the future.

What We’re Looking For - Assistant Head of Construction & Building Services Department

We are seeking a strong leader with proven experience in Further Education and industry knowledge. The ideal candidate will bring:

• Extensive teaching experience in FE, ideally within construction or building services
• A deep understanding of the FE sector and related industry practices
• Strong Health & Safety knowledge and the ability to embed this consistently
• Exceptional communication, administration, and organisational skills
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. DET, DTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE)
