Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 per annum (including London Weighting)

We are recruiting on behalf of a prominent further education provider seeking a passionate Lecturer in Creative Media to join their successful team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver a range of UAL media programmes (Level 1 to Level 3) and support learners aiming to progress to higher education or careers in media, television, film, and creative industries.

About the Role - Lecturer in Creative Media

• Deliver engaging teaching across a diverse portfolio of creative media courses aligned with UAL standards.
• Work both on-site and off-site with students during practical projects and exercises.
• Assist in developing meaningful industry links to facilitate valuable student work experience.

Key Candidate Requirements - Lecturer in Creative Media

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a creative media related subject
• Up-to-date industry knowledge and strong practical skills, including experience with editing software
• Some teaching or training experience, ideally in FE or working with learners aged 16-19
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with learners from diverse backgrounds
• Candidates without a Level 5 teaching qualification will be supported to achieve this

Qualifications - Lecturer in Creative Media

·         A degree in the relevant subject area

·         Maths and English at GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent, or willing to achieve

·         Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g DET, PGCE or equivalent) or willing to work towards one, supported by the College

Knowledge and Experience - Lecturer in Creative Media

·         Successful experience of teaching Media, including delivery of UAL or BTEC programmes

·         Current or recent experience in the television or film industries

·         Up-to-date knowledge of the subject area

·         Good working knowledge of editing systems and experience of editing

·         Experience of using the Adobe Creative Suite

Other Skills - Lecturer in Creative Media

·         The ability to engage and inspire vocational learners aged 16 -19

·         Good communication skills, written and verbal

·         Good interpersonal skills

·         Good classroom practice

·         Good IT skills and ability to use IT to deliver the curriculum, including online/remote teaching

·         Good administration/organisational skills

·         Tutoring experience (including pastoral support)

·         Ability to work effectively as part of a team

·         Evidence of and commitment to continuing professional development
