Teaching Assistant – KS2

 

Job role: Primary School Teaching assistant / SEND responsibilities

Key stages: KS2

Working pattern: Term time - 31.25 hours per week in term time only - Monday to Friday

Contract type: Long-term (entire academic year)

Salary: £95-£120 per day

We are looking for:

Teaching Assistants, to work with children in Key Stage 2 initially, but with the flexibility to be deployed across the school

 

The successful candidate will be working to support children with their classroom learning and also delivering interventions to small groups of children.

 

You must be patient and caring, and be a good team player. Previous experience of working with children with additional educational needs is desirable, but training and support will be available - applicants will need to use their initiative and adapt quickly and intuitively to the needs of the children as well as a have a willingness to learn and receive direction from others.

 

These posts may be of particular interest to graduates considering a career in teaching and looking to gain experience.

 

Desirable Qualifications: -

Particular interest and enthusiasm for working with children and supporting learning

Experience of caring for or working with primary aged children

Excellent literacy and numeracy skills: English & Maths GCSE, C or above
