Maths Lecturer (Construction Courses) – Immediate Start

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate Maths Lecturer to join our team on a full time, temporary basis to cover staff sickness. The successful candidate will deliver Functional Skills and GCSE Maths to learners on Construction programmes, supporting students with varying levels of ability and confidence from Entry Level to Level 2.

Role Details

  • Start date: Immediate
  • Contract: Full time, temporary
  • Hours per week: 37
    • Monday–Thursday: 8:30–17:00
    • Friday: 8:30–16:30
  • Teaching: Functional Skills & GCSE Maths (Construction pathways)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective and engaging Maths lessons to vocational construction students across Entry Level to Level 2.
  • Adapt teaching strategies for learners of diverse confidence and ability.
  • Monitor and assess learner progress, provide support and feedback.
  • Fulfil associated administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.

Candidate Requirements

  • Prior teaching experience in Maths (GCSE and/or Functional Skills).
  • All compliance documentation and checks in place.
  • Able to start immediately.
  • Proven ability to motivate and engage learners with varying backgrounds and levels.
  • Experience in vocational or construction contexts desirable.
