Motor Vehicle Lecturer
Uxbridge
£32,455 to £45,260 per annum including London Weighting

We are seeking to appoint a Motor Vehicle Lecturer on a full time basis to join our experienced, supportive team based at Uxbridge Campus. Our Motor Vehicle Section is equipped with fully fitted, recently refurbished workshops and up to date equipment and resources. We have invested in hybrid/electric technology, as this is a growing area of our course provision. Our learners are mostly aged 16-19 and studying City and Guilds qualifications, although we have plans to introduce IMI qualifications.
You will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Motor Vehicle/Automotive, with experience gained within the Motor Vehicle industry and will have some experience of teaching, training or assessing. More importantly, you will be a good communicator with a passion for Motor Vehicle, and be able to engage and motivate young people aged 16-19. If you do not already possess a teaching qualification, the College will support you to achieve this.
Qualifications:
· Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Motor Vehicle
· Maths and English at Level 2 (GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent) or willingness to achieve
· Minimum Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector (e.g DET, PGCE or equivalent**) or willingness and ability to work towards a recognised teaching qualification, supported by the College
· Assessor award (A1 or equivalent) or willing to obtain
Knowledge and experience:
· Relevant experience in the Motor Vehicle industry
· Teaching/training experience
Other skills:
· Ability to enthuse and engage vocational learners aged 16-19
· Good communication skills, written and verbal
· Good interpersonal skills
· Good classroom practice
· Good administration/organisational skills
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team
