Job Opportunity: Temporary Cover Supervisor – North London

We are looking for confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to join our partner secondary schools in North London on a temporary basis.

Role Details:

• Position: Temporary Cover Supervisor
• Location: North London
• Start Date: Immediate / September 2025
• Contract: Short-term/ongoing cover (with potential for extension)
• Pay: £110-130 per day – depending on hours worked

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher to deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced support staff looking to gain classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes and deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
• Support pupils’ engagement and ensure lesson objectives are met
• Report back to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people (school, tutoring, youth work, etc.)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confident classroom presence and ability to manage behaviour effectively
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
