A friendly and inclusive primary school based in Lewisham are looking to recruit a confident and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 student with ASD and Speech & Language issues.

The successful candidate for this SEN Teaching Assistant position will have a patient and empathetic personality and previous experience supporting children with SEN.

You will be joining the school for on a full-time basis for an entire academic year, so applicants must be able to offer their long-term commitment to this SEN Teaching Assistant role.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·         1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Speech & Language / ASD focus

·         Providing 1:1 support to a student with ASD and Speech & Language issues

·         Working closely alongside Class Teachers and the SENCo to monitor development

·         Pay: £95 - £120 per day + excellent healthcare package

·         Typical hours: 8.30am – 4pm, Monday – Friday, term time only

·         ASAP start – long-term contract – full-time position

·         Based in the South London borough of Lewisham

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

·         Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants

·         Previous experience supporting children with SEN - ASD and/or Speech & Language experience is desirable

·         Strong academic background including GSCEs, A Levels and a preferably a degree (2:1 or above)

·         Confident, patient, and empathetic personality

·         Must hold an enhanced DBS certificate
