A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates or experienced Teaching Assistants who are looking to build a meaningful career in education, with a focus on SEN support.

About the Role – 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

• Start Date: September 2025
• Contract: Full-time & Long-term, term time only (full academic year)
• Pay: £95–£120 per day + weekly pay
• Location: Tower Hamlets, East London

You will work one-to-one with a student in Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4, providing personalised academic and emotional support. The students you support may have a range of SEN including:

• Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• ADHD
• Dyslexia
• SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)

This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education.

Person Specification – What We’re Looking For

• Strong academic background (A-Levels and Degree desirable)
• Understanding of SEN and/or experience in a similar role
• A genuine interest in working with children with additional needs
• A calm, caring and adaptable nature
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
• Commitment to working until at least July 2026
