 PYP Coordinator

Location: Karachi, Pakistan

Reports to: School Head

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £35,672 - £44,590 + Accommodation

Role Summary

This role ensures the delivery of high-quality education aligned with the IB PYP philosophy while fostering a supportive environment for both student achievement and staff development. The position plays a pivotal role in curriculum development, academic excellence, and operational oversight of the PYP section.

Key Responsibilities

·       Provide instructional leadership in line with IB PYP standards and the Beaconhouse mission.

·       Lead the planning, implementation, and review of the PYP curriculum across grade levels.

·       Monitor and support teacher performance, facilitating ongoing professional development.

·       Cultivate a school culture rooted in inquiry-based learning and student-centered pedagogy.

·       Maintain active engagement with parents and the wider school community.

·       Ensure compliance with school policies, child safeguarding protocols, and student well-being measures.

·       Collaborate with the School Principal and leadership team to align academic and operational goals.

·       Manage day-to-day functions of the PYP section, including staffing, admissions, and student affairs.

Qualifications & Experience

·       Master’s degree in Education or a related field.

·       Certified IB PYP training with prior leadership experience in an IB environment.

Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in education, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

·       In-depth understanding of inquiry-based learning, curriculum development, and assessment practices.

Terms of Employment

·       Start Date: As soon as possible

·       Salary: £35,672 - £44,590

·       Residence/apartment is provided with furnishing.

·       Utility allowance

·       Leave entitlement is of 50 calendar days/annum (7 weeks), including annual and casual. 10 sick days leaves .

·       One return economy class air ticket per annum, after completion of each contract year, will be provided in addition to initial/ joining & contract ending/conclusion flight.

·       Top Medical insurance against hospitalization (in-patient) will be provided

·       Car provided with Driver

·       Laptop & mobile provided

·       Mobile Handset Purchase Limit of PKR 55,000 (renewal after 2 years)
