About the Role

You'll be working closely with children who have a range of Special Educational Needs, providing crucial one-to-one and small group support. This role offers incredible job satisfaction as you help pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN across various needs including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) under teacher guidance
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and social skills development
  • Assist with classroom activities and curriculum access
  • Monitor and record pupil progress
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo, and external professionals
  • Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times

Essential Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree in Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Training in specific SEN areas (autism awareness, behaviour management, etc.)
  • Experience with communication aids or assistive technology
