About the Role
Join our passionate Early Years team and help shape young minds during their most crucial learning years! We're seeking an experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to support children's development in a nurturing primary school environment.
Key Details:
- Salary: £13.50+ per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Contract: Long-term (1 academic year initially)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, term-time only
- Start Date: September 2025
- Age Group: Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery / Reception)
- Location: Islington, London
What You'll Be Doing
- Support children's learning and development across all EYFS areas
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging, play-based activities
- Help create a safe, stimulating learning environment
- Support children's social, emotional, and academic development
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement individual learning plans
- Observe and assess children's progress
- Provide pastoral care and support for young learners
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience working with EYFS children (Reception age)
- Level 3 qualification or above in EYFS/Childcare/Early Years
- Strong understanding of child development and EYFS framework
- Excellent communication skills with children, parents, and staff
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (required)
Desirable:
- First Aid qualification
- Experience with EYFS assessment and observations
- Knowledge of phonics and early literacy development
