About the Role – Chef Lecturer

We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our client's Cookery & Hospitality team as a Professional Cookery Lecturer in Hayes, London. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of chefs while continuing your culinary career in education.

Key Details:

  • Salary: £32,455 - £45,260 per annum
  • Hours: 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Hayes, London

What You'll Be Doing

  • Teaching across various Hospitality programmes including VRQs/NVQs in Professional Cookery (Levels 1-3)
  • Delivering Apprenticeship Standards for Level 2 Production Chef, Level 2 Commis Chef, and Level 3 Chef De Partie
  • Working with the college's public restaurant (Revisco)
  • Inspiring and engaging young learners aged 16-18
  • Assessing and supporting student achievement

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Catering/Hospitality
  • Professional experience as a Chef in the Catering/Hospitality industry
  • Teaching and assessing experience in Catering and Hospitality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities

Desirable:

  • Level 5 teaching qualification (DET or equivalent) - full financial support provided if not held
  • Assessor and Verifier awards
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
  • Strong IT skills and experience integrating technology into teaching
  • Tutoring experience
