Key Stage 2 Phase Lead

We are looking for a KS2 Phase Lead who shares our commitment and is ready to make a real difference.

You would have responsibility for a KS2 class one week and the following week be out of class focusing on improving teaching and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the KS2 phase, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all year groups
  • Support,  mentor, and develop teachers within the phase, fostering professional growth and collaboration
  • Model outstanding teaching and learning, inspiring both pupils and colleagues
  • Work closely with the leadership team to lead and implement school-wide initiatives and policies
  • Monitor pupil progress and attainment, using data to drive improvements and close learning gaps
  • Contribute to curriculum development and ensure consistency in planning, assessment, and delivery
  • Have oversight of all assessments across KS2
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community
  • Liaise with families in KS2 on day to day matters, and with outside agencies where necessary
  • Check risk assessments for educational visits
  • Work with colleagues to develop timetables
  • Ensure behaviour across KS2 is very good. 

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in KS2 (at least 4 years) 
  • A proven track record of excellent classroom practice 
  • Experience in leading a team or supporting the development of colleagues
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment strategies
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for raising standards and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils.
  • A proactive and reflective leader who embraces professional growth.
