Salary: MPS3 – UPS3 (Inner London Pay Scale) – please note, for UPS applicants, you will be expected to contribute towards middle leadership responsibilities
Contract: Full-time, 1-year fixed term (with potential for extension)
Experience Required: Not suitable for ECTs

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher looking for a new opportunity in an outstanding primary school?

We are working with a highly regarded, Ofsted-rated Outstanding primary school in Islington that is expanding its Year 6 provision for September 2025. Due to a local school closure, the school is creating a third Year 6 class and is looking for a strong practitioner to join their dedicated team for the academic year.

The Role – Year 6 Class Teacher

  • Teach a Year 6 class for the full academic year (September 2025 – July 2026)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments (SATs)
  • Work collaboratively with the existing Year 6 team to ensure consistency and high standards
  • Support pupil wellbeing and encourage a positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified teacher with UK QTS
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 or Year 6)
  • Proven track record of strong classroom practice and raising pupil attainment
  • Confident in preparing children for SATs and secondary transition
  • Committed, flexible, and able to inspire and motivate students
  • Please note: this role is not suitable for ECTs
