Part-time: Morning sessions (08:45 AM - 12:00 PM)
Full-time: 08:45 am – 4pm

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in our friendly primary school in Camden. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in special educational needs support while making a real difference to children's educational journeys.

We offer both full-time and part-time positions to accommodate different availability and career needs, providing flexible options for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support for pupils with special educational needs across various year groups
  • Assist with curriculum access and learning activities under teacher guidance
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Help implement individualized learning strategies and interventions
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCO
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and achievements
  • Foster independence and confidence in learning
  • Support behavioural management strategies as needed
  • Adapt support methods to meet individual pupil needs

Essential Requirements

  • Flexible availability for either full-time or part-time hours during term time
  • Genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS clearance (essential)
  • Two professional references
