Salary: £24,369 – £25,082 (Actual salary, 36 hours/week, 41 weeks/year)

About the Role

Are you passionate about hospitality and eager to help shape the next generation of industry professionals? We’re seeking a dedicated Hospitality Technician to join a thriving Further Education College in Hayes. You’ll play a key role supporting the Professional Cookery and Hospitality courses, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and modern learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the catering team and supervise students in the college’s professional kitchen and restaurant.
  • Prepare ingredients, maintain stock levels, and keep inventory up to date.
  • Assist teaching staff with practical demonstrations.
  • Help students plan and deliver themed events and special days.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications:
    • Level 2 qualification in Catering/Hospitality
    • Good general education (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Experience & Skills:
    • Experience working in a professional kitchen environment
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
    • Experience with stock control and health & safety compliance
    • Ability to maintain accurate records (manual and digital)
    • Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
    • Good IT, literacy, and numeracy skills
    • Experience working with learners aged 16–19, ideally in an educational setting
