About the Role - Secondary Science Teacher

  • Teaching Science at secondary level (Key Stages 3 and 4), following the English National Curriculum.
  • Designing and delivering engaging, challenging lessons that develop students’ scientific thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Preparing students for external examinations and supporting academic achievement across all abilities.
  • Contributing to extracurricular science activities and wider school life.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a supportive, international team.

Requirements

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) — essential for visa and compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field, plus PGCE (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience in the UK (post-QTS).
  • Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge across general science; ability to teach specialisms (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Passionate about inspiring young people and fostering a love of science.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and culturally aware.
