Are you an experienced Civil Engineering professional with a passion for developing future talent? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading further education provider who is looking for a dedicated Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering to join their dynamic team.

About the Role - Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering

As a Civil Engineering Assessor/Trainer, you will manage a caseload of apprentices, supporting them throughout their learning journey. You will provide high-quality coaching and mentoring, helping learners to develop essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for success in the industry. You will also build strong relationships with employers to ensure on-the-job learning is meaningful and well-supported.

Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (insured for business use) are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities - Assessor/Trainer in Civil Engineering

• Conduct regular learner progress reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Support learners in developing their portfolios and preparing for end-point assessments.
• Work closely with employers to identify suitable workplace tasks and training opportunities.
• Ensure effective tracking and documentation of learner progress in line with quality standards.
• Deliver targeted training sessions to support wider personal and professional development.
• Promote core values and ensure compliance with awarding body standards and practices.

Requirements

• Relevant Civil Engineering qualification and industry experience (essential).
• A Level 3 vocational qualification.
• TAQA (or equivalent assessing qualification), or willingness to work towards.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A genuine passion for training, coaching, and supporting learners.
• Understanding of apprenticeship standards and end-point assessments.
• Level 3 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (desirable).
