The department is well established and thriving, and therefore you will be both ambitious and passionate about teaching Business Studies and be invested to ensure positive outcomes for all students through strong leadership skills.
About the Role - Business – 2iC
As Business – 2iC, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Department to drive excellence and innovation within the Business Studies faculty. You will help lead curriculum development, mentor colleagues, and deliver outstanding lessons to inspire students at KS4 and KS5.
Key Responsibilities - Business – 2iC
- Assist the Head of Business Studies in leading and managing the department
- Contribute to the design and delivery of a dynamic, engaging Business Studies curriculum
- Support and mentor teaching staff, including ECTs
- Monitor student progress and help implement strategies for improvement
- Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5 to a high standard
The Ideal Candidate - Business – 2iC
- Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
- Has recent, successful UK-based teaching experience in Business Studies
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for business education
- Has experience or ambition to lead and support colleagues
- Possesses excellent organisational and communication skills
- Is committed to raising standards and supporting students of all abilities
