Are you an experienced Early Years/ Infant Teacher?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Infant Teachers to join a fantastic international school located in Doha, Qatar. The school are currently looking for 3 experienced Infant Class Teachers to join them from August 2025.

We offer a curriculum which is broad and balanced and which builds on the knowledge, understanding and skills of all children, whatever their starting points, as they progress through each Key Stage. Our curriculum is based on the national curriculum for England. However, our Curriculum approach is adapted to ensure that students develop great depth of understanding and competence in skills at the same time as taking account of their second language learning needs, their cultural heritage and the global perspective.

The successful applicant will have:

  • BA Degree in Education or BA Degree with PGCE in Education
  • Good academics
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience at an International School
  • Experience teaching the National Curriculum for England in the UK or an international setting
  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children

As a Primary Class Teacher, your role and responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate student centred and active learning, in a culture of high aspirations.
  • Teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students and groups of students.
  • Plan and implement effective classroom management practices, design and implement effective strategies to develop self-responsible / independent learners.
  • Prepare classroom for class activities & conduct assigned classes at the scheduled times.
  • Maintain a teacher file to include lesson planning, student attainment outcomes and other information as required by line manager/ policies and procedures.
  • Develop plans for learning (long, medium and short) including lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with our policy and procedures.

Within the Primary Phase, we emphasise the development of social skills, respect for others and a sense of responsibility. Parental involvement is vital to us and we encourage your active participation in your child's learning journey. We strive to maintain open communication with families and provide regular updates on children's progress and activities.

The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references.
