We are now seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and passionate SENCO to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and ensuring they achieve their full potential.

 

As our SENCO, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of our SEND students, leading and working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to provide tailored support and interventions. We are looking for an individual who is not only a strong leader but also deeply passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children.

 

SENCO – Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage SEND provision in the school, ensuring the best outcomes for children with SEND
  • Support staff with differentiated teaching strategies, interventions, and assessments of learning needs
  • Work closely with parents and external agencies to create effective, individualised learning plans for pupils
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of SEND pupils, implementing appropriate interventions when necessary
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Provide leadership and guidance to teaching staff, creating a collaborative learning environment

 

SENCO – Requirements:

  • Has a proven track record of good or better teaching practice
  • Holds the NASENCO qualification
  • Has a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Has experience in assessing learning needs and planning curriculum provision and interventions for children with SEND
  • Is passionate about supporting pupils with medical needs within a school setting
  • Shows initiative, ambition, and a commitment to professional development
  • Has excellent leadership and management skills
  • Can inspire and motivate both pupils and staff
