French Teacher – Croydon

Role:  French Teacher

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: Salary MPS1 – UPS1

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our team from September 2025. The successful candidate will deliver expert French language instruction to children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6), in a vibrant and thriving primary school in the heart of Corydon.

French Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French to Key Stage 2 students, adapting lessons to meet their varying needs
  • Demonstrate high standards of teaching, raising student achievement and accelerating progress
  • Assess, record, and report on students' learning and progress
  • Develop and enhance the French curriculum and create engaging lesson plans
  • Ensure fluency in both French and English and convey strong subject knowledge
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in education and the National Curriculum, particularly for Key Stage 2
  • Foster effective communication with students, staff, parents, and carers
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

French Teacher - Our ideal candidate:

  • Has experience teaching French to primary school children, with evidence of successful outcomes.
  • Can demonstrate a strong ability to raise standards and accelerate pupil progress.
  • Has thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum, particularly in relation to Key Stage 2
  • Can contribute to the development of a dynamic and effective French program
  • Has excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders
  • Is fluent in both French and English
  • Is committed to the safeguarding and protection of children
