About the Role:
We are seeking an outstanding Mathematics Teacher to join a secondary school in Southwark from September 2025. The school follows a Maths Mastery Curriculum, focusing on the Five Big Ideas: Coherence, Representation and Structure, Mathematical Thinking, Fluency, and Variation. The role includes teaching Edexcel GCSE Mathematics and the potential for A-level teaching.

Mathematics Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Mathematics, following the Edexcel GCSE syllabus
  • Deliver lessons aligned with the Maths Mastery Curriculum, emphasizing the Five Big Ideas
  • Foster student understanding through Mathematical Thinking and Fluency
  • Differentiate teaching to support all learners and promote progress
  • Contribute to developing and refining the Maths Mastery approach in the school
  • Take on TLR responsibilities, supporting departmental leadership and school-wide initiatives

 

Mathematics Teacher - Requirements:

  • QTS (or equivalent) and Mathematics teaching experience at secondary level
  • Knowledge of the Edexcel GCSE syllabus and Maths Mastery
  • Ability to differentiate teaching and engage students of all abilities
  • Strong classroom management and team collaboration skills
  • Willingness to take on additional leadership responsibilities
