We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Supply SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and work across primary, secondary, and SEN schools in Islington and the surrounding areas. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with special educational needs, with an ASAP start and a competitive pay rate of £90-110 per day.

As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students with diverse needs, ensuring they have the resources and support required to succeed in their education. You will work closely with class teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Supply SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) across primary, secondary, and SEN schools.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support the specific needs of students.
  • Help manage and promote positive behaviour in the classroom.
  • Support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, encouraging engagement and participation.
  • Adapt to the needs of different students and school settings as a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure the learning environment is effective for all students.

Ideal Candidate for the Supply SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Previous experience supporting students with SEN (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and an empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to different school environments.
  • Available for an ASAP start and willing to work across various schools in Islington and surrounding areas.
