As a ‘Good’ Secondary school, we are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide support for pupils, the teacher and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils. You will supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, following lesson plans to deliver whole class learning in this Cover Supervisor role.

The Secondary School is a place that provides a close, family atmosphere where students develop their confidence and forge new friendships quickly, based on a smaller than average number of pupils on roll. This ensures that all students are known, feel valued and are supported.

Cover Supervisor – what’s involved?

• Cover Supervisor
• Working across Secondary School (KS3 & 4)
• Covering absent Teachers and PPA
• Working collaboratively to improve outcomes for pupils
• Long Term & Full Time – until at least July 2025
• £120 - £130 per day (depending on experience)

Cover Supervisor – who are we looking for?

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor ideal
• You must be confident within the classroom
• An understanding of how to support children’s learning
• Good understanding of the Secondary Curriculum is essential
• An ability to deploy strategies to allow learners to engage with the curriculum creatively
• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• Want to work as part of a hardworking, dedicated and cohesive team
