Pastoral Support Leader – Hertfordshire

 

Clarus Education are working in partnership with the Head Teacher of an ‘Outstanding’ and highly successful mixed-comprehensive Secondary School in Hertfordshire. We are searching for an intelligent, proactive & hardworking graduate to fill a full time Pastoral Support Leader role.

As a Pastoral Support Leader, you will work closely with the Heads of Year, Heads of Key Stage and the Assistant Principal – Behaviour & Attitudes to ensure that outstanding student behaviour and conduct around the school is a defining feature.

 

Pastoral Support Leaders will have a ‘roving brief’ to support student behaviour and conduct across the school or to work with a particular year group where the need arises.

 

Safeguarding is the responsibility of all staff and Pastoral Support Leaders will exercise this role too, as well as being vigilant in ensuring that students are safe and their wellbeing supported.

Job description & person specification - Pastoral Support Leader:

  • Pastoral Leader
  • Working across KS3, KS4 & KS5 
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups across different year groups
  • Supporting pupils with their wellbeing & mental health
  • To act as a role model by demonstrating high quality pastoral care and academic monitoring of students
  • Must be able to inspire and motivate pupils
  • Working in collaboration with Year Coordinators
  • Strong academics at degree, A-Level & GCSE
  • Experience in a previous role essential
  • Full time and permanent role – employed by the school
  • £27,711 - £30,060 (depending on experience
