Job Overview

Our vibrant Secondary Academy in North London is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join our team from either April or September 2025, with the potential for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to start in July or September 2025. As part of an expanding department, this is an exciting opportunity to join a school that values creativity, collaboration, and staff well-being.

The school is committed to providing a supportive, inclusive environment where both staff and students thrive. Enjoy school-wide perks like early finishes on Fridays, a generous two-week October half-term, and a strong focus on staff well-being—all while making a real difference to students in the local community.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography teacher who is passionate about inspiring students and fostering a love for the subject. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of both physical landscapes and human geography, with the ability to teach students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

You will play a pivotal role in raising standards, creating an engaging and thought-provoking learning environment, and helping students explore critical global issues—from climate change and urbanisation to the wonders of our natural world. Your ability to make Geography come alive in the classroom will be key to developing the next generation of critical thinkers.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a deep passion for Geography and a strong commitment to fostering student curiosity
  • Be capable of teaching across all key stages, including GCSEs and A-Levels
  • Have UK QTS
  • Be driven to help raise the profile of Geography within the school
  • Inspire students to excel, while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Be keen to contribute to departmental growth and development

Why Join Us?

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to join a supportive and forward-thinking school that values innovation and collaboration. Whether you're looking to develop your teaching skills further or step into leadership, we offer plenty of opportunities for career progression.

We are a diverse, multicultural school with a genuine commitment to providing outstanding education to all students. We pride ourselves on fostering a strong community where both students and staff feel valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

Applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed. We understand the importance of supporting the professional development of early career teachers and will ensure you receive the guidance and mentorship needed to succeed. If you’re excited to make a difference and help inspire the next generation of Geography students, we’d love to hear from you.

To apply for this full time Teacher of Geography opportunity by sending your CV to Sally at Clarus Education. You will be contacted within 24hrs if shortlisted.
