EXPERIENCED SEND CLASS TEACHER WANTED

Full time (QTS required)

We require a class teacher for a group of KS1 pupils in our outstanding special school to start as soon as possible.

We are looking for teachers that:

• Have SEND experience
• Are dedicated to the welfare, safeguarding and progress of every child
• Are committed to providing outstanding learning experiences to develop communication and independence skills
• Are able to remain calm and supportive under pressure
• Can lead a team of T.A’s to successfully support pupil needs
• Are passionate, creative and have excellent communication skills

About the school:

It is a special school in the London Borough of Barnet. They are going through an exciting period of change, expansion and development as we have become an all-through school across two sites. They currently cater for over 150 students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including those on the Autism Spectrum.

Although the school is growing, they take pride in creating a community where all staff knows each and every student by name. Staff teams work together to maximise learning outcomes for all students and are committed to the development of each and every child. Qualifications

• DfE Qualified Teacher status (QTS) – Essential!

Experience

 The Specialist SEN Primary Teacher (QTS) should have experience of:

• SEN Teaching experience, ideally with secondary pupils but open to SEN Teachers with experience of teaching Primary ages
• Experience of supporting pupils with Autism
