About the Role:

This Reception Class Teacher role will be based within a vibrant and welcoming team. You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with your pupils, understand their individual needs, and provide care, compassion, and guidance to ensure their success. Your passion for early education and commitment to inclusive practices will help foster a learning environment where all children can thrive.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching to Reception pupils
  • Building positive relationships with children and establishing clear boundaries
  • Supporting children’s emotional and social development, and addressing barriers to learning through targeted interventions
  • Promoting an inclusive culture that ensures every child has access to a broad and balanced curriculum
  • Encouraging and modelling good behaviour while managing classroom dynamics effectively
  • Working as part of a team that strives for continuous improvement and professional development

 

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) awarded by the British Department of Education
  • A passionate educator with a genuine love for working with young children
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Experience working with children, especially in an early years or Reception setting, is preferred but not essential for ECTs
  • The ability to contribute to and promote the Catholic ethos of the school, where applicable
