Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? Do you have the enthusiasm to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis, as well as in small groups? We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school in Croydon, where you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional needs and contributing to their educational success.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils who require 1:1 assistance, and you will also be involved in supporting groups of pupils. Additionally, you may be asked to oversee classes, supervise pupils, and lead activities such as games. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to work in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with additional needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Oversee a class, supervise pupils, and lead activities when required
• Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a positive role model
• Assist teachers in planning, implementing, and developing 1:1 mentoring arrangements for pupils
• Promote and foster an inclusive environment that supports the academic and personal growth of all pupils
• React quickly and effectively to resolve any situations that arise in the classroom

What We Are Looking For:

• Experience is essential – previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with pupils who have additional needs
• Strong ability to work effectively as part of a team and understand classroom roles and responsibilities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with both children and adults
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a classroom setting
• Passion for supporting the development of all students and promoting the Catholic ethos of the school
• Strong oral, written, and numerical skills

Pay and Benefits:

• Competitive pay rate of £95 to £110 per day, depending on experience
