We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP) within a mainstream primary school in Croydon, starting in January 2025. The ELP supports children with complex learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties, within a nurturing, inclusive environment.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping children access the curriculum and integrate into the mainstream setting. Experience in SEN is desirable but not essential—we welcome applications from those eager to develop their skills in special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with complex needs, including medical and learning difficulties
  • Assist in the ELP and mainstream classrooms
  • Work closely with a dedicated team to promote inclusion and academic success
  • Full-time role, offering competitive pay

 

Person Specification:

  • Strong academic background (degree or relevant qualifications preferred)
  • Experience working with children with SEN is beneficial
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
  • DBS checked or willing to apply
