1:1 SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – CROYDON

A large, 'Outstanding' Primary School in Croydon is looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with complex needs, starting as soon as possible.

 

The school fosters a nurturing, inclusive environment where all students are encouraged to reach their full potential. With a focus on academic achievement and personal development, the school provides a supportive and friendly atmosphere for both students and staff.

 

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a child with medical needs, learning difficulties, and an EHCP, offering tailored support both in the classroom and within dedicated SEN provisions.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Supporting a child with complex medical needs and learning difficulties (EHCP)
  • 1:1 and small group support in-class and in SEN provisions
  • Full-time, long-term role until at least July 2025
  • £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Strong academic background (degree preferred, A-Levels, or GCSEs)
  • Experience working with SEN children, particularly in EYFS or primary
  • Compassionate, patient, and versatile in supporting diverse needs
  • Registered DBS or willingness to apply
