Clarus Education is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant mainstream primary school in Southwark. This full-time position is ideal for graduates looking to gain invaluable experience supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Position: Full-Time SEMH Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP, ongoing until July 2025
Salary: £90 - £100 per day, paid weekly
Location: Southwark, London
Transport: Excellent transport links & free staff parking
About the Role:
- Provide in-class support for students with SEMH needs
- Assist with behaviour management and emotional support strategies
- Lead literacy and numeracy booster sessions to enhance students’ progress
- Deliver tailored interventions to improve social and emotional development
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to provide individualised learning plans
